Neighbourhood wide art installation coming to Barton Village THIS Fall!

Come visit the Barton Village BIA this October to check out incredible artwork being displayed in vacant storefronts from Ferguson to Sherman Ave. Drawing on themes surrounding the people, places and history of Barton St, these pop-up windows will share the story of this community and cultivate its identity as a place that values art and culture.

With over 15 local artists, you can meander up and down Barton St to get a glimpse of the incredible work from Kayla Whitney, Allison + Cam, David Trautimas, Edgardo Moreno, Kyle Stewart, Gram + Laura, Sunny Singh, Quinn Rockliff, Chris Perez, Jordan Gorle, Hamilton Craft Studios, Sonny Bean, Andrew O'Connor, Par Nair, and Anthony Haley.

We’re thrilled our project was selected for the Government of Canada’s My Main Street Community Activator program! Thank you to the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario and the Canadian Urban Institute for supporting local communities and revitalizing our main streets.

Barton Village BIA is situated upon the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas. This land is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, which was an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.
